Hi! I’m Christine Darlington (née Hoegemeier), a soon to be New Zealand Citizen, originally from San Diego, California. I have recently graduated Massey University with a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design (Hons), Digital Media and taught first year 3D animation at Massey’s School of Creative Media Production. Prior to my design studies I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of California, San Diego.
I class myself as a creator. I love coming up with a new idea or a new design, and creating it in digital and physical forms. I draw, model, animate, 3D print, paint and plush my designs. In my spare time I’m almost always working on a project of some sort, always pushing myself further and trying new things. Sometimes I’ll find myself teaching people the things I know as well.
I am looking for opportunities with a company where I can put my illustration, modelling, rigging or animating skills into practice. I want to be part of a company that values learning, and will teach me and help me grow. Most of all though, I want to work somewhere that creates awesome work or does awesome things that I’d be proud to be part of.
My modelling and animation software of choice is Maya, but I have also used ZBrush and Mudbox. For illustration and design work I tend to use Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop.
If you have any opportunities I might be interested in, or want to know more about what I do, please contact me! I’m friendly!

Why Pink Raptor?
I considered using my last name as part of my domain name, but nobody can spell it. Too many e’s tend to throw people off, unless you know the jingle. So why not pick the coolest dinosaur, a velociraptor! Plus, what if they were pink, like flamingos?
I’ll be getting married in a few months so hopefully that solves the last name problem… (Edit: Hey! I’m married now!)
