Kakapo Runners is a game developed for the KCC (Kiwi Conservation Club). I was in a team of 4, and I made the game figurines using 3D printing. I also designed the logo and some of the branding.
The object of the game was to gather enough rimu fruit and bring it back to your nest before you’re caught by feral cats.
Design Process
Each figure had to be modelled in Maya and touched up in Mudbox so that they could be 3D printed. I made other assets such as a tree but as a team we decided that the bark caves were a better idea.
All 3D figures were treated in acetone to be smoothed, then primed, and finally painted in acrylics.
